PRIZED AND ACCEPTED SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACTS
The StigmaQuest is a semi-qualitative self-administered questionnaire on the perception of stigmatization processes. It is based on the "Mixed Method" approach, using both structured closed-ended questions and semi-structured open-ended questions in the interview. This approach has the advantage of making responses more flexible, providing valuable insights into implicit and hidden needs.Additionally, in its "protocol" format, it explores false beliefs, sources of information, key social figures, and can also assess the risk of toxic social dynamics such as discrimination and racism. Specifically, StigmaQuest aims to describe, compare, and explain behaviors, attitudes, the system of norms and beliefs, and social desirability in relation to diversity. It also investigates the information and knowledge held by respondents regarding their perception of mental well-being and any potential psychological distress. In summary, it is a psychometric tool for analyzing public stigma, useful for primary and secondary prevention in groups. Created by the social promotion association Stigmamente Arte Media and Psychiatry on Stigma and Diversity, version 1.1, in collaboration with the Chair of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology at the University of Foggia. Today, it has reached version 2.0 (2023) and developed into a protocol format (Stigmaquest protocol).
