Stigmamente Research Featured in FrancoAngeli’s New Open Access Series on Learning and Inclusion
Stigmamente Art Media and Psychiatry announces the publication of its research contribution within the volume
Inclusion dans les Cités de l’Éducation – Inclusion in the Cities of Education. Défis, Cultures et Ressources – Challenges, Cultures and Resources
(ISBN 9788835181934), released in Open Access by FrancoAngeli, one of Italy’s leading academic publishers.
The chapter, entitled “Oracomesto1 Covid-19 Survey: Social Epidemic Fatigue and Mental Health Impact”, is authored by Mariella La Forgia, Maria Agostina Bucci, and Luigi Starace, and explores the psychosocial consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, with a specific focus on social epidemic fatigue and its impact on mental health, learning processes, and social participation.
The contribution is published within FrancoAngeli’s new peer-reviewed series “Connessioni nei contesti di apprendimento” (Connections in Learning Contexts), a collection dedicated to the study of learning as a systemic and relational process. The series adopts a systemic-ecological perspective, aligned with the WHO ICF bio-psycho-social model, and highlights the central role of connections in supporting inclusive education and life trajectories.
In this framework, the Oracomesto1 research provides evidence on how prolonged crisis situations affect not only individual well-being but also educational environments, communication ecosystems, and community resilience. The study underlines the importance of coordinated actions among schools, families, communities, health services, and communication systems to prevent exclusion, stigma, and disengagement, particularly among vulnerable groups.
The series places strong emphasis on:
-
inclusive and personalized learning pathways,
-
teacher competencies and collaborative practices,
-
coordination between education, care, rehabilitation, and social participation services,
-
continuous orientation and life-course approaches for all learners, including persons with disabilities.
All volumes in the series undergo double-blind peer review and are published in Italian, English, and French in full Open Access, ensuring wide dissemination and accessibility for researchers, practitioners, institutions, and policy stakeholders across Europe.
With this publication, Stigmamente strengthens its commitment to bridging research, education, communication, and mental health, contributing evidence-based insights that support European policies on inclusion, lifelong learning, and psychosocial well-being.
